Our support for the Samaritans Purse 'Operation Christmas Child Shoebox' has continued this year and we have been distributing and collecting lots of boxes full of gifts to brighten the Christmas period for youngsters across the world, in particular youngsters in and around Ukraine will be receiving the majority of the boxes.
We are getting very excited with just a few days until the three lions take to the field for our opening World Cup game against Iran. We are very proud that our Hockley Remembers project of thousands of knitted poppies displayed within the shopping area at Hockley generates some much community goodwill and draws many visitors to Village helping to raise funds for The Royal British Legion. This is the third year of the display and we received over 2000 new poppies this year.
