Amos in Hadleigh Save the Day for Thundersley Guides

When we heard that the Thundersley District Girl Guiding team was struggling to cover costs at this weekend's fundraiser we stepped in and sponsored the event to make sure the youngsters did not lose out.

We love our community and supporting local volunteer groups, especially those who create fun for local kids so when Terri Bush from Thundersley District Girl Guiding appealed for sponsorship of their latest Kids Kingdom fundraiser which had threatened to fail to break even possibly even costing the group instead of making a profit so we jumped in and provided the funding to make sure the guides made a profit.

We hope they have a successful evening and now raise funds to support the excellent work the youngsters carry out.

As November draws near, red poppies begin to bloom across lapels, symbolising remembrance, gratitude, and unity. Each year, the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal brings communities together to honour those who have served and sacrificed in the Armed Forces. It’s a time to pause, reflect, and give back and thanks to the tireless RBL volunteers.

Buying a home is one of life’s biggest decisions. Whether it’s your first purchase or your fifth, the process can feel daunting, with plenty of pitfalls to avoid. From mortgages and surveys to legal paperwork and negotiations, there’s a lot to take on board. By arming yourself with the right information and working with a knowledgeable local estate agent, you’ll be better placed to make smart decisions and find the home that truly fits your needs.

If you’re planning to buy a home soon, you might assume the best place to start is on the property portals, Rightmove, Zoopla, or OnTheMarket. But the truth is, the savviest buyers are seeing homes long before they ever appear online. Here’s why registering with an agent puts you one step ahead.

This year’s Remembrance displays have been extra special for all of us at Amos Estates. It marks ten years since we first began our poppy project, and what started as a small local tribute has grown into a proud community tradition. With displays across Hockley, Thundersley Village, Thundersley Common, and Hadleigh War Memorial.
