Back to School, ease those nerves with our worms!

Back to School, ease those nerves with our worms!

If you have little ones who might be apprehensive about returning to School why not ease those concerns by popping into our office and discovering the 'worry worms'

Thanks to the kind hearted volunteers at the 'Hug in a Shrug' project and Corrina from United in Kind we have a new stock of 'worry worms' ready to be collected by youngsters who might be a bit worried about the return to School in September. They are completely free of charge and can be collected from us at 1a Spa Road, Hockley or Hockley Library.

'I'm your little worry worm,
Keep me close, Keep me near,
When a worry pops in your head,
Hold me tight, whisper in my ear,
I will take away your worry,
So you have nothing left to fear'

This year’s Remembrance displays have been extra special for all of us at Amos Estates. It marks ten years since we first began our poppy project, and what started as a small local tribute has grown into a proud community tradition. With displays across Hockley, Thundersley Village, Thundersley Common, and Hadleigh War Memorial.

Thundersley Village has once again been transformed by a breathtaking display of community spirit and creativity. This week, Colin MacLean from Amos Estates unveiled an incredible installation of over 5,000 knitted poppies, now proudly adorning the railings outside the shops on Hart Road.

Halloween is just around the corner, and Hockley Village is getting ready to come alive with ghosts, ghouls and giggles! The Hockley Haunted Halloween Trail promises an evening full of fun and a few spooky surprises along the way. If you’ve got little monsters eager to trick or treat in a safe, free of charge environment then come along and see us.

As November arrives and Remembrance season begins, the heart of Hockley Village has once again come alive with a stunning tribute of red. Over the weekend, visitors to the Village shopping area were greeted by an extraordinary sight, thousands of hand-knitted poppies cascading across railings, fences, and shopfronts.
