Citizen of the The Year Awards 2021

We have a long proud history of delivering community projects and we really do not expect plaudits but it's always very welcome when our efforts are recognised.

What a nice surprise today for our Hockley team to be presented with a certificate from Councillor Dray, the Chairman of Rochford District Council after one of our Directors, Colin MacLean was nominated in the Citizen of the Year Awards 2021 for the community spirit category. We try to do our bit in support of the communities which we serve so it's really nice to display the certificate on our office wall.

Nestled at the top of Rayleigh High Street, Holy Trinity Church stands as a timeless symbol of faith, history, and community spirit. For more than six centuries, it has witnessed the life of the town, from medieval markets to modern-day gatherings. Today, Holy Trinity remains not only a place of worship but also a beacon of remembrance.

As communities across the country come together to honour those who gave their lives in service, our Director Colin MacLean has taken the lead in marking the start of the 2025 Poppy Appeal with a heartfelt act of remembrance at the Hadleigh War Memorial. Colin has unveiled a stunning wall of poppies, the first in a series of moving displays.
