Halloween in Hockley has never been so hauntingly good! On Friday 31st October 2025, the Hockley Village shopping area was bursting with spooky excitement as hundreds of families came out to enjoy the Hockley Halloween Trail. With eerie smoke drifting through the streets, catchy Halloween tunes in the air, and friendly ghouls greeting youngsters.

Friday 31st October 2025 will be remembered as a night of frightful fun and fantastic community spirit, as hundreds of families descended on Hockley Village for the first Hockley Halloween Trail. The village shopping area was transformed into a spooktacular scene filled with laughter, music, and magical moments for all ages.


From the moment the trail began, the streets were alive with excitement. Children dressed as witches, ghosts, superheroes and tiny pumpkins followed the trail of participating shops and businesses, collecting free gifts and sweet treats along the way. The air was filled with spooky smoke effects, glowing pumpkins, and the sounds of Halloween music that brought the whole village to life.

Local businesses truly got into the spirit, decorating their shopfronts with eerie displays and welcoming families with smiles and surprises. Friendly Halloween characters roamed the streets, posing for photos and spreading cheer, delighting both little ones and adults alike.


The event, organised with the support of local traders and Rochford District Council, was not only a celebration of Halloween but also a brilliant showcase of Hockley’s vibrant village centre. It encouraged residents and visitors alike to explore what the local shops and eateries have to offer, strengthening the sense of community that Hockley is so well known for.
