Happy Hockley Christmas!

Happy Hockley Christmas!

Happy Christmas from the team at Amos Estates - Just a quick reminder that on Saturday starting at 3pm is the Hockley Christmas Lights Switch-on in Spa Road. The shopping area will be full of stalls and music so please come along and bring the kids/grandkids to support us local traders, we all really need you at this time of year.

We also have a few festive community projects at the moment which you might like to take part in.

Letters to Santa – Our popular magic, Santa's letterbox will be back from Saturday, it’s free of charge, just drop a present wish list/letter in and receive a handwritten reply from North Pole with a gift. Don’t worry we won’t commit you to a trip to Disneyland in our reply!

Hockley Remembers Tree – Another of our popular projects also returns this December, we display a beautiful Christmas Tree outside the office decorated with some of our knitted poppies along with wooden baubles with the name and a short message for someone who you miss at this time of year. Come and fill in a form at the Lights Switch on, again it’s free of charge.

Kindness at Christmas – We are are working with Corrina O’Donnell and asking you to send a Christmas Card with a kindness message for Corrina to pass onto someone lonely or isolated in our local community. It can be hand created or a standard printed Christmas Card or two from a box. That simple five minute gesture will bring a smile to a neighbour. The letterbox is in our office, please take part.

We have also decorated the railings outside the Co-op, Dominoes Pizza this week with our green baubles and red and green flags to add some Christmas cheer to the Village, we hope that you have seen them.

To finish, we wanted to say Merry Christmas to you and your family from us all Amos Estates, hopefully we will see you on Saturday.

Selling for the first time can feel overwhelming. Everyone has advice, most of it conflicting. Here are the key questions to ask every estate agent, plus the step-by-step process you’ll go through to launch your home the right way.

A growing number of Londoners are swapping city chaos for the greener, calmer pastures of places like Hadleigh, Benfleet, Rayleigh & Hockley, where the air is fresher, the homes are bigger, and the coffee still hits the spot. So what’s the big appeal? And why are so many people heading east with a Rightmove tab permanently open? Let’s take a look.

Choosing a high street estate agent like Amos Estates offers real advantages over virtual agents. With local expertise, a dedicated team, and full-time commitment, we provide a personal, professional service that delivers results. This blog explores why being based in the heart of our community makes all the difference when selling or letting.
