Hockley Tree of Remembrance

Hockley Tree of Remembrance

Outside our Hockley branch, you will find our traditional Christmas Tree adorned with wooden baubles featuring the names of those mentioned on the Hockley War Memorial who are joined with the names of families with a connection to Hockley who are sadly missed but fondly remembered at Christmas time

It has become a tradition at our Hockley branch that we use some of the knitted poppies from our 'Hockley Remembers' display to decorate a Christmas Tree outside our front door for Hockley people to add the names of those who they miss at Christmas time. Once the festive period is over we bring them back in, re-varnish, dry and keep them safe until the following year. Thank you to everyone who got involved this year.
