Jo & Callum brighten Hockley with Kindness!

The Christmas Lights event in Hockley organised by Hockley Parish Council proved the perfect opportunity for our Hockley staff to do some good and fundraise for our friends at Hockley & Hawkwell Day Centre. Here is how we got on.

We are very lucky in Hockley to have such a wonderful Parish Council organising our Village Christmas Lights switch on and attracting hundreds of families to Spa Road where our office is located to enjoy the start of Christmas. Our community-spirited team decided to take advantage of the winter darkness combined with hundreds of youngsters passing the office to operate a pop-up stall selling light sticks for a modest £2 each to raise a target of £300 for the Hockley & Hawkwell Day Centre around the corner.

As a result of our efforts, we sold out in double quick time raising £317 for Hockley & Hawkwell Day Centre. Thank you so much to everyone who bought one!

Recent legislation changes like Awaab’s Law have made it clear that landlords must take responsibility for ensuring rental properties are safe, well-maintained, and free from hazards such as damp and mould. Failing to meet these legal requirements can now lead to serious consequences. If you don't currently use a property manager, think again.
