Operation Christmas Child 2022

Operation Christmas Child 2022

We have sent hundreds of Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes filled with gifts around the globe over the past few years and this year our efforts will be even more poignant as the Charity have announced that this year the goal is to send two-thirds of shoeboxes from the UK to Ukraine or the neighbouring countries that are hosting.

Our firm, Amos Estates are supporting The Samaritans Purse Christmas Child appeal again this year by purchasing boxes for generous members of our community to fill with gifts for youngsters in need across the globe. This year the organisers have announced that the majority collected will be distributed within Ukraine itself and the neighbouring countries where those displaced by the invasion are currently living.

You can collect a branded shoebox from our offices at 319 London Road and 1A Spa Road and then return them filled before collection week from the 14th to 20th November.

Living next to the woods, we expected to feel closer to nature, but we didn’t expect to make friends with it. We thought we would spend our mornings listening to the birds and admiring the trees. Instead, we find ourselves checking that Freda the fox, our uninvited but much-loved garden guest has returned safely from her nightly wandering!

Nestled at the top of Rayleigh High Street, Holy Trinity Church stands as a timeless symbol of faith, history, and community spirit. For more than six centuries, it has witnessed the life of the town, from medieval markets to modern-day gatherings. Today, Holy Trinity remains not only a place of worship but also a beacon of remembrance.

The Renters’ Rights Act is set to bring significant changes to the private rented sector. Our aim is to help you understand the key points from the new government guidance, ensuring you feel informed and supported through these updates.

As November draws near, red poppies begin to bloom across lapels, symbolising remembrance, gratitude, and unity. Each year, the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal brings communities together to honour those who have served and sacrificed in the Armed Forces. It’s a time to pause, reflect, and give back and thanks to the tireless RBL volunteers.
