Poppy Appeal Update

Poppy Appeal Update

The knitted poppies community project we deliver in Hockley Village was designed to inspire our friends and neighbours to donate to the poppy appeal so we have placed a tin outside the office during the lead up to Armistice Day & Remembrance Sunday, this is how we did......

We wanted to say a big thank you to our friends and neighbours in Hockley who filled the collection tin outside the Amos Estates office during November. We heard this morning that we collected a fabulous £494.85 for the Royal British Legion, what a wonderfully generous community we trade within, thank you.

Nestled at the top of Rayleigh High Street, Holy Trinity Church stands as a timeless symbol of faith, history, and community spirit. For more than six centuries, it has witnessed the life of the town, from medieval markets to modern-day gatherings. Today, Holy Trinity remains not only a place of worship but also a beacon of remembrance.

This Baby Loss Awareness Week (9th–15th October), our firm, Amos Estates have been working with Holly & Lee Gisby to ensure the shopping areas of Hockley, Thundersley and Rayleigh are adorned with hundreds of lovingly knitted hearts placed on local railings, a moving tribute to babies gone too soon.

Halloween in Hockley has never been so hauntingly good! On Friday 31st October 2025, the Hockley Village shopping area was bursting with spooky excitement as hundreds of families came out to enjoy the Hockley Halloween Trail. With eerie smoke drifting through the streets, catchy Halloween tunes in the air, and friendly ghouls greeting youngsters.
