Save Our Ticket Office - No to Closures

Save Our Ticket Office - No to Closures

Campaigners have been busy at Hockley Train Station today supporting ticket office staff and collecting e-signatures for the petition calling on train operators to keep ticket offices and platform staff at train stations like Hockley which is under threat of closure (the ticket office)

We have been helping out the campaigners against the possible closure of the Hockley Train Station ticket office as the rail operators look to encourage rail network users to ticket machines rather than the human contact afforded by the friendly staff. The vast majority of our local community believes that to be an error on the operators' part and feel that the new system would be detrimental to older residents in particular. Please join us and them by signing the petition, here is the link: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/636542
