We love Greta & Center Parcs as Hadleigh & Hockley estate agency goes green!

The Natural World is important to our business, we have tried to eliminate 70% of paper use from our offices and recently with some trepidation bought two electric vehicles.

So many questions this weekend as I pondered whether to risk driving my new energy saving EV electric car northwards, well North of the M25 anyway for the first time to my families favourite #staycation venue of Center Parcs at Woburn Forest.

At Amos Estates we have arrived a little late to the green agenda, like two middle aged Greta Thunbergs seduced by the tax breaks, sorry green gains of electric vehicles our previous gas guzzling, rain forest destroying BMW's and Range Rovers engines have gone and been replaced with computer and four Duracell batteries!

In the weeks since their gleaming arrival they have been pretty bloomin' perfect, zipping around Town, noise free allowing Darren to blast out Elvis Presley without the accompaniment of the growling engine, no freezing cold petrol station forecourts and importantly the warm glow of doing our bit to save the planet! But, and it's a big BUT could I risk a 200 mile round journey without the safety of a place (of which there are incredibly few) to power up if we encountered a long traffic jam?

Well, it turns out that the traffic was great, the road-workers had taken the day off and in an unsurprising twist of fate, Center Parcs not only do pine trees, muscle pulling bikes and an awful lot of squirrels they also do Electric Pod Points, and as an added bonus, they are FREE OF CHARGE, joy!

So that's it, go green! go to Center Parcs for your holiday and of course, Save the World!

With eerie smoke drifting through the streets, catchy Halloween tunes in the air, and friendly ghouls greeting youngsters.

As November draws near, red poppies begin to bloom across lapels, symbolising remembrance, gratitude, and unity. Each year, the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal brings communities together to honour those who have served and sacrificed in the Armed Forces. It’s a time to pause, reflect, and give back and thanks to the tireless RBL volunteers.
