Window Full of Wonder: Celebrating World Book Day in Hockley

Colour and creativity have arrived on Spa Road as local pupils from Lift Greensward School transform our Amos Estates window, helping Hockley celebrate the joy of reading ahead of World Book Day.

Our front window at Amos Estates in Hockley is looking beautifully bright this morning thanks to the talented pupils at Lift Greensward School, whose wonderful ‘Celebration of Reading’ project is bringing a real splash of colour to Spa Road, Hockley in the run up to World Book Day on 5th March.

World Book Day, first established by UNESCO in 1995, is celebrated annually to promote the joy of reading, publishing, and copyright. It’s a brilliant reminder of how powerful books can be in inspiring young minds and bringing communities together through stories and imagination.

We’re delighted to be part of this colourful local initiative and to showcase the creativity of the pupils. Their hard work has certainly brightened our office and the surrounding shops, helping to build excitement ahead of this popular annual celebration.

If you’re visiting the Village this week, please do stop by our office and take a look at the display for yourself you won’t miss it! If you have younger children as well then why not part in the Hockley Reading Trail which runs for the remainder of this week as well.
